Excellent Support and Quality! My New Go-To Lifting Belt!
I recently purchased this Iron Infidel Recon Weight Lifting Belt in X-Large, and I’m very impressed with the quality and support it provides. I’ve been lifting for years, and I’ve gone through several different belts. This one is definitely one of the best I’ve used. The 4″ width is perfect for providing ample support to my lower back without being too restrictive. The EVA foam core is comfortable and conforms to my body, providing a snug fit.The self-locking buckle is easy to use and provides a secure hold. I don’t have to worry about the belt slipping or coming undone during heavy lifts. It’s quick to tighten and release, which is important during workouts.I’ve used this belt for squatting, deadlifting, and other heavy compound exercises, and it has provided excellent support and stability. I feel more confident and secure when lifting heavy weights, and I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my form. The 1776 design looks great, and the overall construction feels durable and well-made. I expect this belt to last for years to come.If you’re looking for a high-quality weightlifting belt that provides excellent support and stability, I highly recommend the Iron Infidel Recon Weight Lifting Belt. It’s a worthwhile investment that will help you lift heavier, safer, and more effectively. Great product for the price!

Solid Support, Flexible Fit — But Branding May Not Suit Everyone
This weightlifting belt from Iron Infidel delivers on performance. It’s sturdy, well-constructed, and uses a Velcro closure that allows for flexible adjustment. I prefer Velcro belts for that reason, and this one feels secure once tightened. The buckle system requires a firm tug to cinch down, but anyone lifting heavily enough to need a belt will likely find that reassuring rather than inconvenient. Once in place, the buckle holds reliably—I’ve had no concerns about it slipping during a lift.Comfort is also a plus. The belt is soft enough to wear without irritation, yet firm enough to provide the support needed for squats and deadlifts. Sizing was accurate according to the chart: I’m right at the cusp between small and medium with a 31″ waist, and the medium works well—I can pull it tight with no issue.Another thoughtful touch: the belt comes with a compact, zippered carrying case. It’s made of durable fabric with a sturdy zipper and a small handle, making it easy to stash in a gym bag without the belt flopping around or getting tangled with other gear. It’s a practical addition that helps keep things organized and protected.Where I hesitate is the branding. The belt itself is excellent, but the overall aesthetic leans heavily into a macho, militaristic motif. The logo features a skull in a helmet with crossed rifles and a ring of stars, along with the name “IRON INFIDEL” in bold type. While the product description says it’s for men and women, the imagery and marketing suggest a tough-guy vibe that doesn’t resonate with me personally.UPDATE: Roughly two months after I initially reviewed this item, the zipper broke off of the carrying case. This was not due to unusual force or a jammed zipper; rather I simply took the case from a shelf in my house because I wanted to use the belt, and the entire zipper came off in my hand. I determined that the case was not reparable so I discarded it. I had not been using this belt regularly, so this is not an issue attributable to excessive wear or usage. This incident has led me to question the overall quality of the materials used in this product.

Great Weightlifitng Belt
This is a great weightlifitng belt for regular to medium type of lifts. The belt is high quality and well made, flexible with enough stiffness to provide adequate support. The sizing is accurate and the belt locks into place and stays secured with the help of the wide and large velco strap. The design decals and statements on it are great, perfect for the gym environment. I give this weightlifitng belt 5 stars and recommend it!

Lifting belt
Very nicely made belt. It’s comfortable, giving just the right amount of support for everyday lifting. The sizing was accurate. The Velcro is strong and locks the belt up great, haven’t had any issues with it failing. It also has a great design, I really like this company’s style.

Belt = Solid. Storage Bag = Flimsy.
This is a well-built belt—no break-in needed, just strap in and lift. It feels solid, gives great support, and the quick-release buckle actually works smoothly even when you’re gassed mid-WOD. Been using it for heavy squats and Oly work, and it hasn’t slipped or loosened once.I have a 38″ waist (measured at the narrowest point) and went with XL. Fits fine but could probably have gone with a L too, but no complaints. Now for the bad news: the little round storage pouch is a great idea in theory. Makes the belt way easier to toss in a gym bag or locker without it flopping around. But mine broke on day one—handle strap unraveled immediately, and the zipper feels like it’ll give out any day now.If they fixed the pouch, this would be a 5-star setup. As is, the belt’s worth it, so I’ll still give it 5 stars—but don’t count on the bag holding up (I did not buy this belt anticipating a storage pouch, so not worried about that, but if they are going to include such, they may as well have consistent quality.).
