High-quality belt for a reasonable price.
I am a certified personal trainer who enjoys testing and reviewing fitness products on amazon.com.I’ll be honest, for under $40, I was a little bit skeptical about whether a leather weightlifting belt would actually be good quality. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this package. This belt is, indeed, made of genuine leather. It is beautifully constructed. It is even lined with a felt type fabric and has additional padding in the lumbar support area. These features, alone, make this belt better than a lot of other belts in the same price range.I’ve never heard of this brand before, but the manufacturer clearly designed this product with weightlifters in mind. I got the 6 inch belt in medium. For frame of reference I am 5 foot 10, 175 pounds, and have a waist size of 30. This belt fit me comfortably.Perhaps the only thing that I didn’t like about this belt was the fact that the front straps seem a little bit narrow. As such, I might not feel as though I get as much bracing in my abdomen as I would like. A lot of the newer style belts, such as lever locking belts, have a uniform width around the waist. I don’t always like that because it pushes hard on the hip bones in some instances. This belt does not do that. But it also seems just a little narrow in the belly region.If you’re a weightlifter on a budget and are looking for a serious product that’ll suit your needs without breaking your pocketbook, I would definitely recommend this belt. It’s not the most modern or stylish, but it certainly is a great example of the importance of function over form. Sometimes the traditional is the best.

Much Better Quality Belt than Brands Costing Nearly Twice as Much
Working as Certified Personal Trainer/ Kinesiologist/ Exercise Physiologist, I’m always on the lookout for new exercise and fitness gear. So I did a comparison between the DEwish Gym Gear weightlifting belt and another much more expensive more prominently known brand. First off, the leather quality on the DEwish belt is superior-it’s clearly top grain leather and the stitching is better as well. Solid double nylon stitching throughout. The belt is also longer in the taper side to allow it to reach further around your back and get out of the way- the shorter tapered end causes the belt to get in the way of Olympic lifts or Hang Cleans sometimes. I much prefer the longer loose end to ensure it stays close to my body and out of the way. The width on the support side is perfect too-it’s a medium width belt – which is all you need. I’m a 31 in the waist and the medium size DEwish belt was right for me The velvet on the inside is much better too than the big name brand. It has a great feel to it and is clearly better quality. Overall this belt beats out a name brand that costs nearly twice as much. Great value for the money and will definitely be my new replacement. Very happy with this one.

In this price range, you’d be hard pressed to find a belt half as good as this.
I can literally find nothing to complain about with this product, and that’s unusual. I was expecting to find some fault or flaw in a genuine leather belt in this price point, and I can’t.This weight lifting belt is fantastic. The leather is extremely thick and stiff, without being rigid and uncomfortable. The whole kit , from leather to liner offers good support, without being painful or obstructing movement. Good waist padding prevents pinching, and the taper fits the waist without pressing on the hip bones. The leather is of good quality, the stitching is flawless, and the adjustment has a wide range of holes. The buckle is heavy duty and has double pins, and all of it is assembled in a comfortable, sturdy kit.Overall, well done. In this price range, you’d be hard pressed to find a belt half as good as this.

Strong, Secure, and Supportive Lifting Belt
This is an important item to have for proper lifting. My father always wore his lifting belt when working out with his friends, and he was a big, very strong man — so I know how essential a good belt can be.This one is excellent. It’s thick, sturdy, and sits exactly where it should around your waist to support the right areas of your back. The padded back section adds even more comfort, and the double-prong buckle is incredibly secure. It doesn’t slip, slide, or loosen — it stays exactly where I put it.The genuine leather is another big plus since it won’t stretch out over time, and there are plenty of adjustment holes to get the perfect fit. Just be sure to double-check the sizing, because you measure a bit differently than you would for a regular belt.Overall, this is a great belt. The price is comparable — maybe even better — than many name-brand options. If you have a weight lifter in your life, this is definitely one to order.

I really like this belt. It is very high quality… perhaps not the highest quality. The leather is very good quality… again not the very best quality. The stitching is flawless, and I really like the cushioning. The color is very appealing to my tastes. The buckle is well made, and the adjustments are neither too close nor too wide.For the price I can’t imagine getting a better-quality belt. I’ve used a good number of very, very high-quality belts and this one is almost as good. For anything less than professional use, I think this is perfect. The comfort is better than other, thicker, more professional quality belts. I actually like wearing it for some extra back support while doing chores around the house. The support is really enhanced by the cushioning and feels secure and helps me gain confidence that I’m less likely to experience back pain while wearing it.I really have absolutely no complaints or critiques of this belt and I’m very, very impressed with it. I think it is tremendous value for money. With proper care this belt should last a very long time.
