I suffered multiple ankle sprains growing up and again as an adult, which led me to experience the frustration of unreliable supports firsthand. In 2017, after a Grade II sprain, I set out to create a better brace—one that offered real stability and comfort. That mission became Z Athletics. A bit bulky for use with women’s shoes
Brace is nice and sturdy and supported my ankle well, but the lacing at the top of the foot area made it hard and uncomfortable to fit into some of my shoes. Fine for sandals, but not so much for fully enclosed shoes or boots. I had to find something less bulky.

Great for Ankle stability
I bought this ankle brace never using one before and I must say it has been a savior to for my ankle. It stabilized my ankle and thankfully it helped relieve the discomfort. One caveat for me is that I was only able to wear my slides as they could not fit in my athletic shoes so that was my only bummer. The velcro is very strong which is a plus and all in all value for money. I would recommend this brace.

I bought this specifically because 1) regardless of whether men/women size came (as Amazon didn’t specify) I would be identical in size (unlike other braces on Amazon which the size would vary based on the item/fit preference to size up or down/dimensions being slightly off as per the reviews I read) which gave me confidence in buying this one due to the certainty of sizing. 2) it had the option to pay more for two day delivery which a lot of other braces did not offer. I am healing from a sprained ankle therefore getting this brace within a day or two was fantastic. A bit uncomfortable at the start but just needs to be broken in within a couple days. Harder to fit in shoe than a tensor however much more supportive so that’s to be expected. Definitely wear a tall sock underneath to protect the skin from rubbing material!

I bought this to replace a 15yr old brace from my sister and the difference between them is so stark!! I’m happy; my ankle feels a lot more stable and sturdy. Still makes my toes lose some circulation and the outside of my foot goes numb but the feelings come back eventually, just need more time to break it in. Overall great quality brace for athletes!!

I ordered a medium… as I didn’t see on the amazon description if this brace was for male or female. When I received it I noticed it was for Ladies… I ended up ordering the wrong size. Seems like a very sturdy brace… but if your foot is already swollen and you need the brace to fit inside a running shoe… may be very tight in the runner or not fit at all. With all the lacing it tends to be a bit bulky. Anyways I returned it… and will look for a brace with less bulk so it will fit better in my shoes.
