Very supportive, extremely easy to get on
These are fantastic. They are comfortable, don’t constrict my foot and really support my ankle and injured tendons. But my advice is to just glance over the pictures in the directions and ignore the mind numbingly complicated directions. They are the easiest things in the world to put on – you simply have to look at them and it’s completely obvious how each part needs to be fastened. It just takes seconds to put them on and remove them.

Strong Customizable Ankle Support
I purchased this ankle brace when I sustained a grade 2/3 high ankle sprain with an inner & outer ankle sprain. Not fun. I needed something that would provide a good bit of support when I was finally able to put weight on the ankle. This brace definitely fits the bill. It has allowed me to be able to drive even when I can’t, as of yet, walk unassisted on my ankle. It provides good stability for the ankle which means I don’t have to be as concerned about reinjuring my ankle during the healing process.I have a small ankle, so I generally have difficulty finding an ankle brace the fits properly. This brace is great as it’s highly customizable. It comes with pads that can put used inside the brace which I didn’t need. It slides onto the foot. There are two velcro strips that allow the brace to be fitted to the ankle area. In the front, there are 2 double elastic strips that are stretched and attached to the brace with velcro. This allows you to adjust the tightness of the brace. Finally, there is the stiff plastic portion of the brace. The velcro strip wraps around the brace/ankle. It is this piece that provides the rigidity for the brace. This portion pivots at the ankle joint.This ankle brace is more bulky than a more traditional lace-up brace, but it provides more support, comfort, and customization. It’s been perfect for my long recovery process.

comfortable support for an unstable ankle
I got this to use to transition out of the walking boot after I severely (grade III) sprained my ankle. It feels just as supportive as (if not a little more than) the walking boot. It’s far superior to other neoprene ankle supports (and believe me I’ve used many over the years with weak ankles). It’s high quality and does the job.This brace offers my healing ankle a lot of stability with the rigid plastic supports on either side with a decent amount of compression and the right amount of flexibility. It’s highly adjustable and easy to put on – you slide your foot in from the back then have adjustment in the straps that cross in front of your ankle, the piece that comes up around your heel, the part around your lower calf and then the final strap that secures the rigid sides. It also comes with a couple extra padding pieces to use where you need them. It’s easy to adjust if your foot/ankle is still swelling some and swells through the day – it’s a quick velcro adjustment. The fit feels super secure also due in part to the fact that these are designed to be more anatomically correct and worn on one side only (you buy a right or a left).The downside is that while this offers more support, it is a little bulky and does not work with all shoes. BUT you can wear shoes instead of being in that off-kilter walking boot. It’s not perfect, but this is one of the better ankle supports I’ve found and used.I don’t like that I need it, but I’m happy enough for it, I’d probably pay twice the price and still feel like I got a good deal.

Worth every penny!!
This is pricey but it’s worth every penny! I had a neoprene support from a local store and it didn’t feel sturdy enough to protect my ankle from rolling again. I bought this in hopes of having more protection during pickleball. Once I learned how to use it, because it is confusing at first, I’ll never use another one. I feel confident that I’m not going to reinjure my ankle with this on. I also switched to an actual court shoes. Don’t be dumb like me and try to play pickleball or tennis in regular cross trainers. lol

Use on both kids
Difficult to learn to put on at first (at least by my youngster) but quickly becomes a routine. Have this for both my kids for nearly a year already. Luckily, they haven’t been in a position yet of spraining ankles *knock on wood* please make sure, though, your athlete also do ankle strengthing exercises, as I fear reliance on the device.Starting to stink…kids been airing them out. Will need to maybe update review whenever we wash ’em (should be by handwash).

I purchased this for my son after recovering from a severe ankle injury from basketball where his ankle rolled badly on landing. The sturdiness of this brace gives him peace of mind now that his ankle cannot roll again, thus preventing further damage. The hard plastic is not removable so I hand wash them, but it’s well worth it.
