Great for moving
This product has made my move so much easier. I have a lot of back issues so this has made such a difference. The straps are really sturdy and can be adjusted based on your height and the furniture your moving. Great value. Would recommend to anyone.

Functional, safe lifting for large heavy awkward items
Bought these to move a 7’X5’ 3 person hot tub. Everything I’ve read online and everyone I’ve talked to says you’ll need 4-6 strong men to lift and carry one of these. Between me and a buddy we were able to do it with just the two of us. The straps were JUST long enough to reach the 7’ length of the tub (we couldn’t carry it from opposing sides of the 5’ length because of how it sat on the trailer not to mention stability wouldn’t have been as good).Manufacturer shows the hot tub weighs 600+ pounds. Between a buddy and myself we were able to get this lifted and moved off the trailer (which had a ramp gate) with no problems. To get it on the trailer, we used a different method as it had to make it through a normal size man door so we tipped it on its side and placed it on furniture moving dollies with castors.Moving it off the trailer with these straps Was it heavy? Yes. Was it awkward? No. We used the vests NOT the forearm straps, so all the weight was bore on our legs, shoulder, and back. He and I lift weights regularly several times a week and are stout guys in our late 30s/early 40s. I wouldn’t expect women, older folks, or soy boys could do this sort of thing nor would I recommend it if you don’t have a background in heavy lifting or you’re sure to herniate a disc or get a hernia in your abdomen/groin. For us, it worked extremely well and mitigated any chance of damaging the tub.

Listen. I’m 44. I don’t want to bend. I don’t have the strength to squat down and pick up something heavy! These are a back saver! Very functional, easy to put together, have a cushion for comfort and ease, seem very well built and have held up well at this point. They make it easier to move heavy items so I’d say they are a good value for saving your back!

Straps/buckles shift while moving. Unsafe, low quality.
The straps on the vest do not “bite” or lock down when you adjust to a certain height. This was quite the annoying thing as we would adjust everything to give the item the height it needed when going over stairs. The vest instead let go/released and caused the item to sit lower than where we originally started out. We ended up damaging my stairs since we had to set the item down multiple times due to this. Being halfway up a flight of stairs with straps that are releasing is NOT ideal. I would not recommend using this for stairs or any long distance.

Might be better off looking elsewhere if you’re moving something heavy
Reasonably comfortable but the reviews about the straps slipping are completely accurate. I used these to move a file cabinet and after a few feet and lots of slipping, we decided to find another method rather than losing a toe when the strap gave way and dropped a couple hundred pounds. Might work well for lighter weights as they did have great adjustability and were easy to use overall. Not sure how durable they would be for extended use

I used the X Protector moving straps and felt like I unlocked a cheat code for adulthood. These things turned me from ‘please don’t let me throw out my back’ to ‘I could probably lift a small car.’ My furniture floated, my spine survived, and I only questioned my life choices twice instead of twelve times. Five stars. Would move again… probably.
