A great find! My new “go-to” pants for workout and around the house!
This year – Jan 1, 2023 – I started off at 265 pounds on a 6’0″ frame. I was 61, now 62 and new it was time to make a choice. I committed to getting down to 210 pounds by December 31, 2024.I began the year rowing. I gave up any kind of soda drinks. I made significant changes to what I ate.As the year progressed and I got healthier I also introduced running into my workout. I now run 6500 meters every Saturday and Sunday morning. This began around September 1, 2023.With the weather now beginning to cool I knew I would need something besides shorts and a t-shirt to continue running.I really dislike most “sweat pants” because I carry my phone, key fob, ear buds and my concealed carry everywhere. There are now “sweat pants” that make that easy to do – much less look good while doing it.Born Tough – a brand that I became aware of via my tactical training coach – has just made me very happy.. I have found pants that meet all of my needs and give me the additional thermal protection that I need for the 6:30 am runs across the lake. They have a pocket with zipper that is an exact fit for my iPhone 14 so it does not bounce around and slap me constantly while I run. They have a clasp to hang my key fob from. They fit great and don’t try to trip me as I run or walk. They have additional pockets – with zippers – so my stuff doesn’t want to leave me while I workout or run.After my first run I washed them and put them away. Later that day as I was washing the car and working in the garage – again I put these pants on. They are far superior in comfort and utility than my jeans – plus there was no risk of my belt buckle or jeans buttons from scratching my car while I worked. They are now my goto pants and I will need to order a few more pair.. OH! And after paying $60 – $100 dollars for jeans – this is a huge cost savings compared.A great find!!P.S. Workout or Relax
These pants are great for both! Soft and comfortable yet built with all the accessories for training. I am 5’5″ 135lbs with strong legs and a slender waist. The small fits snug in the mid to lower leg section, but like most unisex sizing, there is a bit of lofty space around the hip section. The plus side to that, is you can fit your no-gi shorts underneath. Additionally, I like the zipper pockets and keychain loop for when I wear them out and about.
