My saga of the TriLok ankle brace – Be patient, it will work! Heel pain GONE!
First off, the brace seems to work GREAT but the instruction video was hard to find for me.As for me I have been having pain in the right side of my right heel which lately has moved also to my left heel. My right calf is also tight and my foot began to rotate out. Definitely some tendon issues, but I’m not a doctor or medical professional, I just don’t like to to go to doctors cuz I’m a dude.I have a job that has me on my feet walking all day and I need my feet to work!. I got this brace to try to straighten everything out from my ankle down. It seems supportive enough from the description so, off to measure and order.As I opened the package I immediately starting looking for the instructional video link. The QR code on the instruction manual (pictures only) links to the exact same manual I am holding. Not very useful. I miss instructions with words! I’m plotting how to return the thing at this point as my hope is dying, but I soldier on.The website for the instruction video on the customer service page in the box leads to a page that says the page you are looking for does not exist. However, I am at least on BioSkin’s web site. I managed to find the product (TriLok ankle brace) and once you open that page scroll down for the instruction video. There are two videos for the right and left foot. Carefully, I go on to the video (right foot for me).While following the instruction video was hard (lots of pausing) it was much more helpful than the manual. And eventually, (about 20 minutes) i managed to put on the brace. Hope returns!Once on, I started to walk around my house. The difference was immediate as I walk straight floors and navigating the stairs in my house. Pain free as I stroll towards my victory pee! I can’t wait to try this brace out in the world. Hopefully, I can provide an update.In closing, while BioSkin may not be able to use the internet as well as they could, they know how to build a brace and make an instruction video. Although its pricey, it works and seems well engineered as it boosts my tired tendons.Just block out a LOT of time and use a lot of patience to put on the brace, use the instruction video and it will become possible to put the brace on correctly. If I can do it, so can you!Good luck all!!

No Pain No Limping Anymore – Thank God!!!
This is my very 1st review on Amazon and I have been a customer for over 10 years. I paid full price for this Trilok Ankle Brace and I have not been promised anything for my review. However, this brace was such a lifesaver for me, I wanted to share my experience in case someone else is suffering and needs some honest input. I shattered my right ankle in 6 pieces, and completely dislocated it in a nasty fall 8 months ago. I will spare you the fear and agony and just tell you I had 3 surgeries on the ankle including placement of plates and 19 screws. One screw was left in for 3 months to immobilize the ankle so the bones could heal, then was removed in surgery. The other 18 screws are permanent. I was in a wheelchair for 6 months, then a walker and a cane. I am in my 50’s and was scared that this is my life going forward: limping and being in excruciating pain since the day I fell. You see my finicky tummy does not tolerate any pain meds except for over the counter Tylenol and icing the ankle. 3 months after the last surgery, the surgeon told me I must be a big wuss because I was not supposed to be in pain any longer. Well my ankle had not gotten the memo:-) I left the doctor feeling hopeless and dejected. I had spent a small fortune on various types of braces but kept going back to wearing the clunky removal cast which enclosed my leg from knee to toe, because putting any weight on my right foot was simply unbearable without the Frankenstein cast. I was browsing Amazon and became intrigued by the Trilok Ankle Brace and decided to try it. I would try anything to get my mobility back. When it arrived, I didn’t use it for 3 days because it had many straps and looked so complicated. Being in severe pain, I went to the Bioskin website to watch a video on how to use it. The video also showed how your uninjured ankle and foot is supposed to be held together by various tendons and muscles wrapping around the bones. The video showed how the Trilock imitates the functions of your natural tendons and muscles to wrap around your foot to make it feel like your own natural support system. I honestly didn’t believe them but decided to try it anyway just in case. Well after strapping my foot into this brace I decided to try and stand up holding on to my husband in case I fell. To my surprise, there was NO PAIN for the 1st time in 8 months. I didn’t trust it still because I have had my hopes dashed so many times. I was able to put on my sneakers and even a pair of wide flats with this brace on. After a couple of days of walking around the house with no pain, I was able to get on my stationary bike. After a few days, I felt confident enough to go for a short walk around my neighborhood ALONE for the first time in 8 months. It has been two weeks now and it is still helping and when I take it off I can actually walk short distances in the house without the brace. You never realize how much you value your feet until something happens to them.This brace is not cheap. But the Trilok has done what the Physical Therapist has not been able to do so far: I am not limping!!! And I now have hope to regaining my autonomy and mobility. I can see myself trying to drive in a couple more weeks. The Physical therapist is delighted with my progress. I bought this for PTTD after trying an array of ankle strappings and orthotics. This product is the most effective and has reduced the pain and immobility at the end of the day along with ankle stiffness in the morning. I would recommend this before any casts are tried .

I read a lot of reviews before buying this product and honestly, it didn’t disappoint me. The first 2 days was quite hard and very uncomfortable, but as I was getting used to the brace, it became incredibly comfortable and better than anything else: pain free! I have an early degeneration in the talonavicular joint and plantar faciitis, and I work on my feet the whole day. I’m very pleased with my purchase and I totally recommend it!
