warm, well-made, flattering design
I hardly ever submit reviews here but this jacket is fantastic. easily the best winter coat I’ve owned EVER. seriously, and I’ve owned some good ones! what especially pleases me is that it is incredibly warm, even in winter winds (I walk everywhere) YET it doesn’t make me look like I am puffed up or 3 times wider than I actually am. It’s SLIMMING (and I ordered an XL just to be on the safe side because depending on how things are made L can be just a bit too tight for me. and yet it’s comfortable; I can stretch, reach, turn and bend forward without feeling restrictive tightness. The cuffs stay in place and stay snug. There’s no elastic at the waist/bottom- which was a selling point for me, but there’s a secure pull cord to tighten the fit there when needed. When zipped up to the top it covers my neck right to my chin. The detatchable hood fastens snug closed right under my chin. the pockets are placed in practical places with the lower ones being just right to put my hands in them comfortably and the front pockets snap closed. It truly is water-resitant too. My only criticisms which are very minor for me are (a) the artifical fur on the edges of the hood is… it looks kind of cheap in comparison with every other visual of the coat, and (b) the zipper in front feels like it might not last as long as everything else. The connecting metal on the side where there zipper isn’t when it’s unzipped feels like it could give before any other part of the coat is anywhere near giving. But, it’s not terrible, I appreciate where it ends (at the waistline, not at the bottom hem of the actual coat) because this reduces strain ON the zipper, and the front also snaps closed from top to bottom. all the stitching is thorough and secure. the faux-fleece lining is SO WARM and is removable. NOTE: one suggestion I’d like to add is- if you would ever consider ordering and donating a coat to a needy cause, I truly feel this would be an IDEAL choice. it’s quality compared to affordability inspired me to order another to donate.

It’s a Great Coat!
I was pleasantly surprised – this is a really nice coat. Not fancy, but super practical. Well made. Very warm – first day I wore it it was 38 degrees out with a cold wind blowing – and it was very wind resistant and kept me warm. You can really cover up your neck with the high snaps, and the hood is nice. There’s an inside pocket and two outside ones. I used the size chart and got the right size. It fit perfectly. I don’t think you will find a better coat for this price at a store near you.

Very warm! Keeps wind out
This jacket isn’t very thick, and I wasn’t expecting great things – but I’m pleasantly surprised. The jacket is comfortable when you’re just standing around, and if you’re doing even light shoveling you’ll be very warm! It also keeps the wind out very well!The exterior breast pocket is great for storing gloves or other small items. The interior breast pocket easily fits a smartphone. The two lower, front exterior pockets snap closed, which is great, and they’re deep enough for smartphones and other large items. There are more pockets than you’ll probably ever use.I would like it if the zipper were heavier duty. It’s light plastic, and it works. You just have to keep it straight and taut. If it gets caught, back up a little and straighten the jacket and you’ll be fine.The hood is large enough to wear a hat under, and you get a good seal when you Velcro the chin strap. Helps keep the wind off the back of your neck and the snow off your hat!I had read other reviews about stitching quality or having received a dirty jacket. Neither of these things have been a problem. The durability seems fine. I’ve got no stitching that’s coming undone or appears that it will be a problem in the future – and I feel like I’ve actually closely inspected all the stitching on the jacket because of other reviews.

The best looking coat I’ve ever had. Good material and workmanship. Very comfortable and not heavy to wear. Have received several compliments. Good fit for me. I am over 6 ft tall and 217 lbs. hard to fit sometimes. I like the coat.

Runs a little small size-wise. Nice and warm when I took the dog out this morning in the 3 degree (freedom units) cold. Would absolutely buy again.
